With Tomomi Kojima

At Bali Floating Leaf Eco-Retreat in Sukawati, Bali, Indonesia

6 Days ~ 5 Nights

February 22nd ~ February 27th, 2015

Healing touch is used in so many different ways. But the true art of touch shines through mindfull understanding of Self as a healer or practitioner point of view. Learn to combine technique, knowledge and intuition.

Body workers of all backgrounds will receive a week of self study (called Svadhyaya in yoga), self-reflection, deeper knowledge and utilization of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a spiritual essence of what it means to be a healer.

Yoga Chinese Medicine class

The Yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine Bali Retreat at Floating Leaf Eco-Retreat

Through Yoga, we discuss the importance of Self Care from mental, physical and emotional perspectives, what asana (yoga postures) they could incorporate in their treatments or services, working with energetic channels to better serve clients

Through Traditional Chinese Medicine, we discuss five elements of TCM, bringing awareness to bodywork, working with wood, fire, and water elements in healing touch.

 Your Instructors

Tomomi Kojima is an E-RYT500 yoga teacher, a yoga teacher trainer, and a yoga massage practitioner who has intensively studied prana (energy or life force), chakras, as well as advanced vinyasa assisting, and yoga massage. She uses her intuitive healing touch to awaken students’ or clients’ experiences of their present moment. Her classes are like a breath of fresh air that stirs energetic awakening and will leave you with the sense of freedom, inspiration and a solid foundation to allow your life’s adventures. She has been mentored with her teachers in Canada many years and learned the art of touch directly by weeks after weeks of teaching classes and assisting, receiving feedback from her teachers almost daily and eventually learning Yoga Massage technique from the same teachers, teaching others the art of touch.

Your ZenThai Shiatsu instructor, Aluin Greyvensteyn

It was my first Acupuncture experience. When the needle pierced my skin it was like a sequence of street lights had just flicked on. A reaction had begun, the free flowing Qi was circulating throughout my entire body as the needle dispersed the long held stagnation. “Wow.. what point was that?” I said to Jimmy as my new interest sparked. A good relationship began with my new acquaintance,  now my best mate.

The acupuncture had been so effective I started studying Chinese medicine theory. We can use specific foods to treat any conditions in the body. Treating at the source has greater results than just treating the symptoms.

The game changer was when I realized that everything is energy. When you have stagnation you want to disperse it. Where? To the deficiency.  If you can see it for how simple it really is then it becomes easy.

ZenThai Shiatsu is really new to the world, only being practiced on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland,  Australia. The creator, my Master Gwyn Williams, has been teaching for ten years, and only in the last five has it really been noticed. The bodywork brings the energetics of Chinese meridian theory to the floor in a Thai Massage type therapy, incorporating some of the most effective techniques of Osteopathy, the precision of Shiatsu and the awareness of touch. “If you touch one thing with awareness, you touch everything.” Thich Nhat Hanh.

We will be exploring the simplest and most effective techniques of ZenThai with an understanding of the five Elements to be able to assess the most typical conditions seen in modern day society. I will also touch on the Chinese clock, the organs, meridians, the seasons, the five flavors of food and the emotions. I look forward to delivering a fun and an easily digestible introduction to TCM for bodywork.
Earth Element’s Stomach for intelligent thought and digesting information. Food for thought!
