OUR INTENTION FOR THE RETREAT

YOGA + AYURVEDA

This retreat will incorporate practices and wisom of both yoga and Ayurveda to deepen the connection with one self, one another and Mother Nature. Yogic practices such as asana, pranayam, meditation and reflection (svaydhyay) combined with Ayurvedic practices such as neti, garshana(dry brushing), abhyanga, oil pulling, kriyas, trataka.., have the immense potential to create transformative changes in your life. These practices are easy to perform independently after learning at the retreat. An Ayurvedic kit ( worth $200) will be given to all participants to take home. You will take home these empowering rituals to continue this healing journey even after the retreat is over. You will come out from this retreat feeling nourished and blissful.

Shivanee
In 2004, Shivanee’s first dip into the world of spirituality happened when she was 13 with Brahma Kumaris centre in Mt. Abu, Rajasthan. And since then she started attending spiritual retreats every year & discovered different spiritual schools in India. She knows the power of creating a healing & safe space which can bring so many life changing lessons for you.

Shivanee specialises in hatha yoga & yoga therapy. She enjoys guiding students into postures with subtle and precise muscle engagement with regular breath awareness to promote the movement of energy and facilitate the union of breath, body & mind. She always ensures that her students leave her classes refreshed and aligned.

She has been serving the Yoga community in Singapore for the past four years. Shivanee is also featured as ‘Top 10 Yoga Teachers in Singapore‘ by doyou.com.

Noopur Joshi
Noopur comes from a Yoga and Ayurveda family and has had the principles of yoga and ayurveda woven into her lifestyle since childhood. She found the path of teaching yoga when her chronic medical conditions got the better of her. To move away from her stressful job, she explored teaching in her own field when she realized how much she enjoyed it. She expanded this skill to her yoga practice and took her yoga certifications and has completed over 700 hours of yoga teacher training so far. When she realized the root of all physical ailment is the mind she developed a strong meditation practice and loves to explore various yoga techniques to calm the mind.

Noopur loves to focus on nourishing and mindful flows on the mat. To her, stepping onto the mat is therapy and she wants to be able to share that with her students. As a teacher and student, Vinyasa and Hatha are the styles that Noopur resonates with the most – creating a balance between movement and grounding.
