From Beginners to Experts, All are Welcome

A week of workshops and classes to improve your quality of life, fitness and mental focus. This isn’t a bootcamp. It’a complete physical, mental and spiritual experience that will help you achieve peak performance and focus—all while staying in 5-star luxury in one of the most enchanting tropical environments in the world.

Imagine waking up every morning to in a lush oasis surrounded by views of the ocean and volcanoes. Daily classes will take place in the open- air yoga sanctuary followed by incredible meals and free time to relax in the Balinese spa & healing pool.

In addition to the movement disciplines offered we will also be exploring the wonders of Bali with hidden waterfall treks, coffee plantations, island boat trips, snorkeling and more.

All workshops are scaled to the participant’s ability. Absolute beginners are welcome.

This 6 day event features the following disciplines and coaches:

  • Handstands with Miguel Sant’ana. We are extremely fortunate to have this world renowned hand balancer and teacher joining us. Miguel’s workshops are suitable for raw beginners who can’t hold a handstand and for more experienced practitioners who are looking to develop their hand balancing and one arm practice. These workshops will include flexibility and strength training specific to helping you develop your own practice.
  • Circus Acro Yoga with Sara-Clare Lajeunesse & Shawn Mozen. This dynamic duo will show you how to build a fun and solid partner balancing practice using your entire body, balancing your partner with your hands, shoulders, feet, and more. This course is suitable for raw beginners and will take more experienced practitioners beyond basic balancing on the bases of the feet. It is your chance to run away and join the circus!
  • Mobility Flow- Jon Yuen is a world class teacher with a background in martial arts and dance known for his remarkable movement flow. His classes will help you to build a greater awareness of your body and develop a solid mobility practice.
  • Special Boat Trip to Lembongan for some of the world’s best snorkeling and diving.
  • Day Trips to Hidden Waterfalls, Temples, Beautiful Gardens, Coffee Plantations, Monkey Forrest, and More!
  • Spa Treatments & Massage available at additional costs.

What’s Included:

  • All workshops. They are scaled to the participants’ ability. Absolute beginners are encouraged and welcome to join. Each week is limited to 20 participants.
  • All off-site excursions detailed in your retreat description.
  • Three fresh organic meals daily. Plus morning coffee, tea and fruit. We can cater to all types of dietary requirements.
  • All accommodations. Double Occupancy. Choose between sharing a king sized bed with a loved one or two separate single beds if traveling with a friend. If you do not have a roommate you will be assigned one based off your intake form.

We help our clients develop simple movements to more complex, using bodyweight training along with a wide variety of resistance tools such as Kettlebell and Barbells. Our courses will challenge and reward novices and experts of any age.

THE LINE-UP

The founder of Agatsu Inc is recognized worldwide as an authority on Kettlebells, martial arts and functional fitness. Shawn was the first teacher to release instructional DVDS, workbooks and to offer instructor seminars in Canada.

He continues to work with Canadian and American law-enforcement, military, EMS and firefighters. As well as traveling the world giving seminars to fitness professionals and the general public.

Spending a lifetime training in martial arts, Shawn’s approach to fitness training is to seek a balance in mobility, flexibility, strength and endurance.

Shawn is a certified Ashtanga Yoga teacher under Mark Darby, 3rd Dan Black Belt in Shito Ryu Itosukai Karate, a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a Supples Fit Bulgarian Bag Coach, and is a Certified Commando Krav Maga Instructor.

Sara has been working and traveling worldwide for Agatsu since 2011. Her background and training includes: brazillian jiu-jitsu, ashtanga yoga, kettlebell sport, and circus arts (hand balancing and hand to hand partner balancing)

Sara-Clare’s passion for physical fitness began at age 3 through dance and musical theatre then continued on throughout her university years as a teacher’s assistant in movement for theatre arts at the University of Windsor. There she studied Dance, Voice, Pilates, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, Yoga, and Contact Improv. Since graduating with a BFA in Acting & Performance, Sara-Clare has toured the world as a professional performer for 12 years before working for Agatsu. In her spare time she continues to work as a voiceover artist.

Miguel Sant’ana originally from Brazil and student of legendary handstand coach Claude Victoria, Miguel now travels the world teaching beginners to advanced students. He is currently based out of Hong Kong where he leads the charge at Pure Fitness in teaching flexibility and inversions.

Jon Yuen is a trainer, writer, and teacher at the Academy for Personal Training in Norway. Jon aims to convey knowledge obtained from scientific research in a transparent and simple way, making it accessible to everyone. By giving people the tools needed to understand and appraise the principles behind various training approaches, his workshops and presentations promote autonomy and confidence in any kind of movement-oriented practice.

With a background in professional dance and martial arts, his main areas of competence are strength, conditioning and skill development.
